John Narron is a contemporary painter based in Midlothian, Virginia. He earned his BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, where his studies helped shape his interest in scale, gesture, surface, and composition.
After stepping away from painting for a time, John found his way back to the studio while painting alongside his daughters—a simple moment that reignited his desire to create.
Today, John’s acrylic works on panel are rooted in color and influenced by the landscape. Through layered surfaces, color harmony, composition, and expressive applications of paint, he explores the tension between depth and flatness, creating richly textured contemporary works.
